Photography defines me, my happiest moments are in the field seeing and capturing images which are, to me, joy. Until recently I struggled to find a single point of view for my imagery, photo-journalism, portraiture, landscape.... but I kept shooting images that cross those "types".
Last year I studied with Graciela Iturbide, and she freed me, describing her own method as going out with the the camera and waiting for "surprises". This has become my mantra, along with Manual Alvarez Bravo's "hai tiempo", meaning there is time, wait for the right moment to take the picture.
